Line score हर inning के runs और फिर R-H-E दिखाता है
हर टीम की पंक्ति बताती है कि उसने प्रत्येक inning में कितने runs बनाए। R, H और E आम तौर पर runs, hits और errors हैं। H केवल official hits गिनता है, जबकि E official scorer द्वारा दिए गए fielding errors हैं; ये totals अकेले यह नहीं बताते कि कितने runners base पर पहुंचे या runs कैसे बने।
Batter line में अक्सर AB, R, H, RBI, BB और SO होते हैं
AB official at-bats, R runs scored, H hits, RBI runs batted in, BB walks और SO strikeouts हैं। Plate appearance, at-bat से व्यापक है, इसलिए हर पूरी batting turn AB नहीं बढ़ाती। RBI के लिए भी official scoring exceptions होते हैं।
Pitcher line में अक्सर IP, H, R, ER, BB और SO होते हैं
IP innings pitched, H hits allowed, R कुल runs allowed, ER earned runs, BB walks और SO strikeouts हैं। हर out एक-तिहाई inning है; 6.1 IP का अर्थ छह innings और एक out, 6.2 का अर्थ दो outs है। Error या passed ball के कारण R और ER अलग हो सकते हैं।
Scorecard में K, BB, E और 6-3 जैसी छोटी notation होती है
MLB scorekeeping में K strikeout, BB walk, E error और 1 से 9 defensive positions को दर्शाते हैं। 6-3 groundout shortstop से first baseman की play है। FC fielder’s choice, SB stolen base और GIDP ground-ball double play के लिए है। व्यक्तिगत scorecards में notation बदल सकती है।
